Thanksgiving Dinner Recipes: A Touch of Almond Peach Thanksgiving Casserole Recipe
What You Need:
1/4 C white sugar
1 1/2 C fresh peaches, peeled and sliced thin
1 1/2 C old fashioned oats
2 egg whites
2 tsp. almond extract
3 C skim milk
How to Make It:
Heat the oven temperature to 350 degrees.
Lightly spray a square casserole pan with a non stick cooking spray.
Pour the sugar into a mixing bowl.
Add the peaches and the oats and toss to combine.
Pour the egg whites into a separate mixing bowl.
Add the almond extract and the skim milk.
Carefully whisk the ingredients together until completely combined.
Place the peach mixture into the egg mixture bowl.
Use a rubber spatula to mix all the ingredients together well being sure to scrape the side of the bowl as necessary.
Spread the mixture into the casserole dish evenly.
Bake 45 minutes or until the casserole begins to bubble up around the edges.
This Thanksgiving Casserole Recipe Serves 6
This dish is best served while still piping hot. Not only does this make a great side dish but it also works well as a dessert with a scoop of ice cream on the side.
