Thanksgiving Dinner Recipes: Herb and Celery Stuffing Thanksgiving Casserole Recipe
What You Need:
1 C frozen cut green beans
1/2 C instant brown rice, uncooked
3 tbsp. butter
1 3/4 C water
1 (14 oz.) pkg. herb seasoned stuffing mix
1/2 C sweet dried cranberries
2 green onions, sliced thin
1 (10 3/ 4oz.) can cream of celery soup
How to Make It:
Place the green beans and rice in a large saucepan.
Add the butter and water into the pan.
Place the pan over high heat and bring the water to a rapid boil.
Once boiling add the stuffing mix.
Stir in the cranberries and onions.
Carefully add the soup to the pan and mix all the ingredients together well.
Set the oven temperature to 375 degrees and allow the oven to heat up.
Spray a square baking pan with a non stick cooking spray.
Spread the stuffing mixture into the pan.
Cover the pan with a piece of aluminum foil that has been sprayed with the cooking spray being sure the sprayed side is down over the casserole.
Bake 25 minutes.
Remove foil and continue baking 15 minutes or until the casserole begins to bubble around the edges and the top is a golden brown.

Cream of chicken soup also works well in this recipe. If you are not partial to brown rice, white rice works just as well.

What You Need:
2 sweet apples, peeled and chopped
2 oranges, peeled, sectioned and chopped
1/2 C brown sugar
1/3 C Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/3 C walnuts, chopped
1/3 C butter flavored crackers, crushed
1/4 C butter
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves, ground
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. liquid non-dairy creamer
How to Make It:
Place the apples and oranges into a large mixing bowl.
Add the brown sugar, cheese and walnuts.
Toss making sure all the ingredients are mixed together well.
Spray a rectangular casserole dish with a non stick cooking spray.
Spread the fruit mixture into the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
Cover the fruit completely with the crushed crackers.
Place the butter into a saucepan over medium heat and allow the butter to completely melt.
Whisk in the flour.
Sprinkle in the cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
Add the baking powder and continue whisking until completely combined.
Pour the mixture over the top of the fruit.
Drizzle the creamer over the top.
Bring the oven temperature up to 325 degrees.
Cover the casserole with aluminum foil tightly.
Bake the casserole for 55 minutes.
Remove from the oven and stir to incorporate the crust through out the casserole.

This can be made the night before then reheated in the microwave just before serving. Tastes great as a topping over vanilla ice cream and served for dessert.

What You Need:
1 C long grain rice, uncooked
1 (11.5 oz.) can onion soup
1 (11 oz.) can beef broth
1 (16 oz.) can mushrooms, (stems and pieces) drained
1 stick of butter
How to Make It:
Spray a casserole dish with a non stick cooking spray on the bottom only.
Place the oven temperature on 325 degrees and allow the oven to heat up.
Place the rice in the prepared casserole dish.
Pour in the onion soup and beef broth.
Stir in the mushrooms.
Lay the stick of butter in the middle of the casserole dish.
Cover the casserole with aluminum foil.
Bake 50 minutes.

Be careful not to over bake this casserole as it will become too dry. Quick cooking rice is also not recommended. It becomes too sticky and clumps together.

Easy Foil Wrapped Grilled Thanksgiving Turkey Recipe
What You Need:
1 (12 lb.) whole turkey, thawed
2 C water
3 tbsp. chicken bouillon powder
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp. parsley, chopped fine
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
How to Make It:
Spray the grill grate with a non stick cooking spray.
Adjust the grill heat to indirect medium high and allow the grill to heat up completely.
Place the turkey breast side down on the grill and sear about 5 minutes or until the skin turns a golden brown.
Turn the turkey over and sear the other side the same way making sure the skin is golden brown all the way around the turkey.
Remove the turkey from the grill.
Pour the water into a large roasting pan.
Add the bouillon, garlic and onion powder.
Stir in the poultry seasoning, parsley, paprika, salt and pepper.
Place the seared turkey, breast side down, into the roasting pan and seasoning mixture.
Baste the entire turkey well with the seasoning mixture.
Wrap tightly with aluminum foil and place the pan on the heated grill.
Grill the turkey 3 hours and 30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the thigh reaches 180 degrees.
Remove the turkey and allow it to stand covered for 30 minutes before uncovering and carving.

When grilling turkey try not to open the lid of the grill any more than necessary. This keeps the heat at a constant level which helps the turkey to cook through evenly.

Honey Mustard Thanksgiving Turkey Breast Recipe - Microwave Style
What You Need:
1 (7 lb.) turkey breast, thawed
2 tbsp. unsalted butter
1/4 tsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tbsp. Dijon style mustard
1/2 C honey
How to Make It:
Place a plastic rack into a large deep sided microwavable dish.
Place the turkey, breast side down, on the rack.
Melt the butter in a microwavable safe bowl on high heat for 15 seconds.
Once melted completely add the curry, ginger, mustard and honey to the bowl.
Stir until all the ingredients are completely incorporated together.
Baste the turkey skin with the honey mustard mixture.
Cover the turkey with wax paper.
Microwave the turkey on high for 14 minutes.
Rotate the turkey 1/4 turn and baste again.
Continue cooking for 13 minutes.
Remove the turkey from the microwave.
Drain off any juice that has gathered in the dish.
Turn the turkey breast side up and baste with the honey mustard mixture.
Recover with wax paper.
Microwave on medium high temperature for 28 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 170 degrees.
Remove the turkey from the microwave and cover with aluminum foil.
Allow the turkey to set covered for 20 minutes before carving.
